FAQ

What areas of the body does Tantric massage involve?
It is a full body massage that does not focus on one particular area but instead integrates the whole body.

Is Tantra all about multiple orgasms and longer love making?
No. Actually, sexual practices and methodologies make up only a small part of Tantra. It also encompasses areas such as Tantric breathing techniques, visualization, relaxation, attentiveness, learning how to move the body’s energy.

Is the massage performed naturist style?
We perform the massage wearing sarong style clothing.

Can I expect anything 'extra' during the session?
No. Sessions do not include any exchange of contact, such as mutual massage, petting, or any other sexual exchanges. The joy in experiencing a Tantric massage is to be fully open to receiving.

Do I need to bring anything with me?
An open heart and mind, a touch of curiosity and a sense of humour!

Do I need a partner to practice Tantra?
Tantra is about rediscovering yourself; it starts with an inner journey. It is not necessary to have a partner and for those who do, self practice is still a hugely important part.

What sort of Tantra do you practice?
Our Skydancing Tantra training has been a big influence, but we have also trained with a variety of different teachers and continue to develop our own style. We include Taoist techniques and systems which ground, harness and focus sexual energy as well as balancing emotions. This is combined with Indian Tantric influences which include the chakra system and the use of sound, breath and movement.

Why is emotional healing work so important when practicing Tantra?
With any practice it is important to do the groundwork. Clearing the path and freeing ourselves from any blocks or emotional wounds such as lack of confidence/self esteem, issues around our sexuality, sexual abuse, negative emotional/behavioural patterns etc. Tantra shows us how to integrate and accept all aspects of ourselves without judgement or ego taking hold.

What is the kundalini?
Kundalini energy lies dormant at the base of the spine until awakened. This can sometimes happen spontaneously through energy practices or by itself in some cases. The meaning of kundalini is coiled snake and is often referred to as serpent power. Kundalini energy travels up through the root chakra and central channel, activating the chakra system on its way. When working with the chakra system we spend a long time grounding and fully activating the lower chakras before moving to higher realms.
